Jew's House
It´s considered as one of the earliest extant town houses around England, It has been linked to the thriving Jewish community (Middle Lincoln). Visitors find this house next to the city centre; This house is currently the headquarters of the Society for Lincoln History and Archaeology. Tourist can visit it, the entrance is very cheap.
Lincoln Castle
This castle is a magnificent building; if one walks around it, one may see beautiful views of the city and the surrounding countryside. This place gives one the opportunity to feel part of history by doing programmed events and visiting its museum. Lincoln Castle has two important historical documents of British history: the Lincoln Magna Carta, and the Charter of the Forest.
St. Mary's Guildhall
It is an important residence, it was built to be a luxurious palace, it is known as the Royal Palace. It is considered as a medieval building so it is a Grade I listed building in Lincoln; it is currently the home of the Lincoln Civic Trust. It is located a few minutes away from the main tourist trail of Lincoln's historic city centre.
Museum of Lincolnshire Life
This museum is located on the Victorian-military barracks; it was designed and built by Loyal North Lincoln Militian in 1857. The main attractions are collections of culture and social history of Lincolnshire from 1750 until contemporary times. It includes domestic and commercial life, industry and agriculture. It offers special events, temporary exhibitions, educational activities, and quizzes.
Lincoln Cathedral
An important building that was known as the tallest building in the world for 249 years (from 1300 to 1549); it is one of the most important medieval cathedrals in England. This Cathedral was modified many times through all its history, because accidents such as fires and earthquakes damaged it. Its full name is:" The Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln", but people know it as "St. Mary's Cathedral". It is the most representative Anglican Church of England.
The Usher Gallery
This gallery takes art as its main and the most important attraction; it gives one the opportunity to appreciate permanent local collections and different art collections from other galleries and museums. This gallery organizes temporary exhibitions to involve people in culture. One may organize a picnic outside the gallery (in the Temple Gardens). The Usher Gallery has several exquisite collections Decorative and Fine arts. James ward Usher began this art project in 1916, but this museum was completed five years later.
